Clutch Coffee Club is the vision of founders Elias Wambugu and Mikayla Hilario, who each bring a unique perspective to the driver’s seat. Elias, a software engineer with a creative eye for photography and music, has spent years immersing himself in car culture—from organizing local meets to walking the lawns of Monterey Car Week. While he dreams of one day owning a hypercar, he finds just as much joy in living vicariously through the community and sharing that collective passion with others. Mikayla, an occupational therapist, finds her balance in the tactile nature of the outdoors and the mechanical world. For her, being near a car or working with her hands is a way to let the world go quiet. Together, they created Clutch Coffee Club to share that specific, grounding feeling: the moment when the chaos of the day fades away, replaced by the simple pleasure of a great cup of coffee and the company of fellow enthusiasts.
